A year later

Expecting the worst of Ache again, Anne set her alarm for 2358 hours.
Things aren’t that peaceful for her lately. A full day of being a ‘nomad’ made her tired and she was completely worn out.
She saved the message she wanted to send, set her alarm and went to sleep.
Hearing a distant tone somewhere and realizing it was her alarm she woke up with a start. Mumbling a small prayer, Anne sent the message to all three numbers she had with her. One failed, two got delivered.
She closed her eyes for a peaceful sleep.
Woke up in the morning to see “1 new message” on her screen.
A reply to her message: “Thank you. I know that you would wish me for sure. And you were the first too”
No. Anne isn’t jumping to conclusions. She doesn’t want others to jump to conclusions either. Just that someone is trying to be polite and nice is a welcome thought.
Thank God, this didn’t end up like adding fuel to the fire she is already in.
“May this year be successful and be filled with joy, good health, laughter and peace of mind. God bless”
