Brinda and Sriram decided to tie the nuptial knot and start the lovely relation between them.

April 2004
Work project compelled Sriram to move to Colombo, Sri Lanka.

November 2004
Brinda was in Madras to meet her parents and to celebrate Diwali.
Yes, Thalai Deepavali for them.
Wow. What did we hear? Brinda, such a doll and kiddish herself, is expecting one!!
Brinda goes back to Colombo with her mother to return back in February.

December 2004
Where are you?
What’s happened to all the communication, technology we speak about…
Sweet girl, praying you are safe and waiting for you to come back.

Sat....Ur.....Day.....!

Slurred speech. Dim lights. Heavy music.
Fast moves. Lot of smiles. Smoky room.
Held her hand. She didn’t bother. Grip tightened.
Little push here and there. She's freed.
“I want to speak to you”.
Holding each other close. Mumbling into each other’s ear.
Sat next to each other. “You know what?”
Spoke about things which would be never, ever spoken, when solemn.

Yet another week. Monday morning.
People smiling.
“It’s ok. I know how that feels” type’s smile.
Things look much better and clearer when sober.

Learn to love the one who is willing to love you at present.
Forget the one in the past
And thank them for hurting you which led you to
Love the one you have today.

Wish you would understand. Please....

Are you reading it?

December Second

All near and dear to him, shall pray for his peace
He has left all of us
Looks like he reached God yesterday
But it has been three long years
Thirty six long months, without him

“May his soul rest in peace” prays his family

I am glad that, I know such a great man in my life
People who came across him, would know what this greatness is all about
Lesser the words, better for all
He has gone to HIM and HE would take care of the rest

Played in his house, ate the food he fed me
Slept on his lap
Felt like I am part of his family

Running between his legs
Munching on the chocolate
“Molu”, his voice ringing in my ears
Feeling very close to him
Been treated like a daughter

There are very few people who leave a mark in your life
Who can give you warmth and love

We all miss you

I miss you Thomas Uncle
