Stalled - Peep back

People were sweating, even though the hall was centrally air conditioned. It didn’t help the climate outside.
Fair took place in some forsaken place. Made it pretty difficult for people to reach. Nothing could stop the young minds in participating in the fair. Yeah, the star attraction was JOBS! The mantra industry, Information Technology or Intricate Technicalities!!!! took the lead over the rest.
IT was the talk of the fair closely followed by Call Centers, charging on the neutral accent, “sweet” voice, drive in you to sell, fresh, motivated. Words, words and words.. right from A to Z. Whoever chose these, has done a good job, browsing the Oxford!
Anne wanted to see, what she could get out of the fair. Yes, she made it to the fair, where she realized the fair was more of an eye opener to her past.
IT, IT, IT… banners screaming out aloud… Java, Cobol, C++, Linux and what not!!! They were selling like hot cake! Developers, Managers, Executives, Designers…… whoah! For all the rightful slogging…… young and expectant faces making notes of what’s being offered from the live screen. Giving away their papers around to the prospective employers to make it big!

“I would like to take science group!. There should be no issues with the management. I have scored good marks. They give admission based on Half Yearly scores and fee to be paid after the Board results. They are offering me Computer Science.” Anne was hoping to join the science group after her 10th board exams.
“Science!!! What do you want to do?”
“I want to pursue education in Computers”
“You better choose Commerce, I can’t manage you in Science. Admission, Fee ….. No No!! change your mind!!. It’s not worth it even”
She never asked for the stars….. Something which is possible and which is easy to afford, by him.
She has never asked him anything…. Anything. Now this a life time call. Why ?? Why is that he is failing to understand her? No, that would be an under statement. He did definitely under stand her…. He is just playing with her feelings, now her life!

But!!! …. Silly girl, she is always stuck with this BUT!

If she had finished her course in Computers, she would be here with relevant experience applying to those, hot seats……

With a sigh, she made a round, browsing through the stalls, checking out what they have to offer and applying in a couple of them!

Those little decisions, which were taken, had changed the total course of her life! How come, when something can change the course of your life….isn’t under your control? How come, one doesn’t have a say on that? Or she missed her chance?
Why wasn’t the independency blooming then? What is the use when people get all the independency in the world, when it was missing, at the right moment! Independency to correct all the trivial mistakes!!

To look back… the ordeals…mental pain. Yes, she has passed out with flying colors. But more to go!!! Why would people have to learn the hard way… may be that’s life! LIFE ---- Living In Fullest Exposure. Isn’t FULL – Facing Unlikely and Likely events of LIFE!

Setting everything aside, she walks in to her office, Monday morning fully drenched in the rain to receive a shocking blow. She saw the news on the notice board.
“We regret to inform you the sad demise of……”
Everyone was working gloomy faced…. Starting the week with a pretty bad news. And Anne was all shaken up!!! It had a different degree of sadness for her, even though……..

She didn’t know what she expected and would she be fine to face it!
One of the department head had met with an accident and had lost his life. He shares the same name as her dad’s.
Wishing, her instincts would not come true…. Scared to face the facts… she started working.

Saying a silent prayer in her mind and trying to concentrate her wandering thoughts, she started reading her mails.
“Thank you for visiting our stall during the Job Fair. We would like to inform you that……….”
